Nalini Bates

Associate Director, Supplier Citizenship

Nalini Bates leads Procter & Gamble's Global Supplier Citizenship program, which amplifies our Corporate Citizenship Agenda through the Supply Network. Since starting with P&G in 2000, her experience spans multiple businesses and Purchasing areas, including Chemicals, Marketing, Logistics, and Hygiene. Most recently, Nalini led our Pulp Purchases organization, driving transformational changes across the industry. This includes key Citizenship initiatives such as P&G’s efforts on Responsible Forestry and accountability for Diversity & Inclusion in our supply base. Born in Canada, raised in Cleveland, and a graduate of Carnegie Mellon University, she resides in Blue Ash, Ohio with her husband and three children.

Melissa Baker

Senior Manager, Supplier Citizenship

Melissa joined P&G’s Supplier Citizenship & Innovation team in 2017, with responsibility for integrating P&G’s Citizenship Strategy into the core work priorities of P&G’s buyers and external partners. She began her P&G career in 2005 in the Purchases function, spending her early years managing a global portfolio of chemicals and ingredients. A native of Northern Kentucky, Melissa holds degrees from Northern Kentucky University, The University of Cincinnati, and Xavier University. Melissa sits on the Boards of the Greater Cincinnati Green Business Council and Ohio Minority Supplier Development Council.

Tranel Engleman

Supplier Citizenship

Tranel began his career with P&G in 2011. Prior to joining the Corporate Supplier Diversity Team, Tranel worked in Product Supply as a Customer Service Rep responsible for deploying New Product Initiatives and Point of Purchase material to U.S. based retail stores. Tranel currently has ownership of the 2nd Tier Strategy.

Yelena Simonova

Supplier Citizenship

Yelena leads integration of P&G’s Citizenship Agenda into the supply chain and works on developing innovative solutions to measure the impact. She also collaborates closely with ORV-WBC regionally, WBENC nationally, and WEConnect globally, focusing on capacity-building of woman-owned businesses. Prior to joining the Supplier Citizenship & Innovation Team in November 2016, she has been a Global Buyer in the P&G’s Chemicals & Ingredients organization and led a number of transformational sourcing and supply chain optimization projects. Raised in Kazakhstan and coming from a diverse background, Yelena is an avid advocate for economic inclusion and empowerment of women and underrepresented minorities. She holds a BA in Economics and is pursuing MBA degree from the University of Chicago Booth School of Business.
